Formidable Enemy! The Warrior, Kaos (強敵! 猛将カオス) is the 12th episode of B't X.
Synopsis[]
A piece of Raphael's tissue
The Spirit General Hokuto of the North, still hiding underground, halts Ron and Fou's fight and gives them a sample of Raphael's tissue, revealing the true nature of the Empire's ultimate B't and the reason for Karen's deflection. In a flashback to the night Karen escaped, Fou lets her escape after a quick battle without actually finding out her reasons. Ron is hesitant to believe Hokuto's claims so he leaves to find out the truth for himself. Hokuto suggests they all do the same thing on their own.
Meanwhile, Teppei and X rest at a nearby river after his defeat against Ron. They find the legendary warrior Kaos and his B't L'Amour, who chastises Teppei for seeing his B't as a mere weapon, much like the Machine Empire.
To prevent Teppei from a humiliating death at the hands of the Empire, Kaos orders L'Amour to kill him first. After L'Amour knocks Teppei out, he tells X that his current donor considerably weaker than Karen because they do not have the same connection. X tells him that Teppei may be weak right now, but he will soon grow strong because he believes Karen led them together.
When Teppei finally regains consciousness, he is able to break L'Amour's vital point. However, he and X are badly hit by L'Amour's Golden Storm attack and Teppei falls deep into the river.

- First appearance of the last Spirit General Hokuto, though his face is hidden throughout his scenes. This is also the first appearance of Kaos and L'Amour.
